He mainly works in the field of environmental planning and assessment, has published over 80 academic papers, and ranks among the first three authors in over 60 with 10 retrieved by SCI (first author of 4, second author of 2, corresponding author of 4), 12 retrieved by EI, 10 retrieved by ISTP and over 60 published on core journals. He participated in three projects of Natural Science Foundation, 2 projects of State Key Development Program for Basic Research of China (973), 1 project supported by Ministry of Science and Technology of China and over 40 researches of various levels. 3 projects have received provincial awards, 1 first prize of provincial scientific and technological progress award (ranking 3rd), 1 third prize of provincial scientific and technological progress award (ranking 4th) and 1 third prize of provincial technological and educational achievements award (ranking 1st).
After graduating from the Department of Environmental Science of Jilin University in 1996, he has been working on the teaching and scientific research of environmental planning and assessment. Since 1998, he has lectured on the Environmental Impact Assessment for undergraduates majoring in environmental science and Advance Environmental Impact Assessment for graduates, and provided guidance for undergraduates to carry out environmental impact assessment in practice and internship, cultivated nearly 1,000 undergraduates majoring in environmental science, many of whom are engaged in environmental impact assessment work after graduation. In addition, he is also the key lecturer on Application of Computer in Environmental Protection, the Introduction to GIS, Operational Research, Theory of Probability, Fuzzy Mathematics, Computer Multimedia, Environmental Economics, etc.
He participated in the project “Source Analysis of Particulate Matter in Typical Urban Atmosphere of Jilin Province” in 2004, led the research work of “Source Analysis of PM10 in Longyan, Fujian Province” during 2010 to 2012, “Source Analysis of PM10 in Changchun” during 2011 to 2012. During 2013 to 2017, he presided over the key scientific and technological project of Jilin Science and Technology Agency - “Pollution Characteristics and Source Analysis of Typical Urban Fine Particulate Matter of Jilin Province”, which has already been concluded.
