Research Projects:

He has initiated or participated in over 70 projects of various types with more than 60 completed, major projects of recent years including: 1. 1999-2001, Research on biofilm’s removal of toxic heavy metals in aquatic environment. Supported by the Trans-century Training Programme Foundation for the Talents from the Ministry of Education. 2. 2000-2002, Adsoption of heavy metals by biofilm in natural waters. Supported by the Foundation for University Key Teachers from the Ministry of Education. 3. 2000-2002, Research on GIS dynamic monitoring system of surface water in Jilin province. Project of Jilin Scientific and Technological Commission, verified by Jilin Science and Technology Agency (December, 2002). 4. 2001-2003, Research on separation methods and adsorption characteristics of biofilm in natural waters. Supported by the Natural Science Foundation of China. 5. 2003-2005, Research on biofilm’s adsorption mechanism of toxic heavy metals in natural waters. Supported by the Specialized Research Fund for the Doctoral Program from the Ministry of Education.
