My research interests lie on the reservoir characterization, and geofluid processes (origin, evolution and fate) in the reservoir. After some successes in porous water-bearing formations, we are developing algorithm based on deep learning and Bayesian inversion for high-resolution fractured reservoir imaging; we are improving codes for simulating fluid, heat and chemical (isotope) transport in fracture reservoir; we are building lab-scale fracture media by 3D printing for testing theory and methodology on fracture characterization.
